Viasat AB’s satellite-TV-platform covers 15 countries in Europe and reaches more than 50 million viewers.

Horizon Marketing Solutions, Spain, appoints Continuum Systems as a software services vendor. Continuum will design and develop customized, web based, software services to manage Horizon’s fast growing real estate business clients. Continuum’s services will include an advanced content management system, reservation system with an online payment gateway. The application is based on Open Source technologies using Mambo CMS, PHP, MySQL database on a RedHat Enterprise Linux platform.

The site is expected to have over 100,000 products available for purchase through their online catalogue. As part of business continuity, the site is also expected to integrate to their existing back office accounting system. The website will be developed in Microsoft .Net technologies with SQL Server as a database.

Cheapwallarts.com is an upcoming web site providing hand-painted canvas art sets worldwide. Cheapwallarts appointed Continuum Systems to developed an advanced image indexing & searching engine, based on a thesaurus system built around a controlled-vocabulary improving the algorithms for faster performance. The application includes a complete administrative interface to manage the vocabulary, synonyms and the hierarchical synonym relationships.
In addition, Continuum integrated multiple languages, currency and payment gateways and an automated currency exchange-rate system. The web site was based on Open Source technologies using PHP 5.0 with a MySQL 4.1 database on the back-end upon RedHat Enterprise Linux platform.
