A few days ago, we received an order from an art company to improve the looks of their website and also adding some extra features. It is basically a ecommerce website designed for people who want to buy oil paintings. Below is what we did to improve this website:
Firstly, we made a big change to the original home page, we grouped the page with ‘most popular artists’, ‘most popular paintings’, ‘most favourate painting styles’, most popular painting subjects’ as well as customer feedbacks.
Since this website is mostly dealing in oil painting reproductions of masterpieces, so there are thousands artists there, we secendly group those artists by letters of their last name(http://www.outpost-art.org/artists-c-15.html)
Thirdly, we add some cool features to product page, like frames which customers can preview the framed artworks online. We also add rooms feature which customers can preview how the artworks go with different rooms.
There are also some minor changes on other pages.
The whole process takes 7 days and our client is very happy with the final result.
